Artwork Specifications
It is important for The Customer to provide The Artist with good quality reference photos as these make a huge difference in the recognisability and realism of the final artwork. It also helps to have multiple reference photos for the best capture.
The specific requirements and specifications of the artwork, such as the medium, dimensions, total number of subjects, reference photo alternations and the inclusion of a background will be agreed in advance with The Customer.
Pricing and Payments
A 30% deposit is required prior to the artwork being created in order to secure a position in The Artists work schedule. The remaining balance (70% plus any shipping and/or insurance costs) is due once the artwork has been completed. The artwork will be dispatched after the final payment has been received. Payment(s) can be made via a bank transfer or PayPal. Any PayPal transaction fees will be covered by the buyer.

The Artist will not be held responsible for any additional charges which may occur.
Timescales
The Customer will discuss with The Artist when they would like to receive the artwork by, or whether they have a flexible timescale. The Artist will contact The Customer the week before work begins on their artwork. The Customer will decide if they’d like to see progress updates via photographs, or if they’d like to see it once it’s completed.
All attempts will be made to complete the artwork by the agreed date (if the timescale is not flexible) but in the case of unforeseen circumstances, The Customer will be notified of any delays within 72 hours of the due date or as soon as a delay is caused. Only if the timescale is not flexible will The Customer be reimbursed (or discounted) 20% of the price if it is not delivered on time and reimbursed (or discounted) in full if it is not completed within 2 weeks of the originally promised due date. In both cases, The Customer will still receive the artwork in addition to the discount. This disclaimer only exists for extreme circumstances, artwork is nearly always delivered on time.
Cancellations
The Customer retains the right to not purchase commissioned artwork at any time.
There is a 7 day cooling off period for any bookings, beginning from the date the 30% deposit is paid. During this period, The Customer may request to cancel their booking and receive a full refund.
If The Customer decides to cancel their booking after the 7 day cooling off period has ended, then they will forfeit the 30% deposit that they have paid. If work has already started on the commission or if the commission is complete and The Customer decides to cancel their booking, any money already paid prior to refusal will not be refunded to The Customer and work on the commission will cease or remain the property of The Artist. This statement relieves The Artist of being indebted to The Customer if this occurs.
No refunds will be made once The Customer has approved the finished portrait and this has been shipped.
Upon Completion
Upon completion, The Artist will supply images of the completed work for approval. If The Customer has not paid in full, then the images will be heavily watermarked. These watermarks will not obstruct the view of the artwork so much that The Customer will not be able to determine approval.
The Artist will only make revisions that are within the confines of existing style and that do not clash with the mission or vision of The Artist. This is for the intent of staying committed to business purpose and brand.
One (1) round of revisions are offered free of charge. After that there is a flat rate of £50 for revisions. The Customer will be notified of a new completion date at the request of any revisions.
Copyright
The Artist retains all copyright of any produced artwork and so reserves the right to use commissioned work for marketing purposes across social media and promotional platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, website, studio, brochures, fairs, web and print advertisements and business documents. The Customer consents to completed work, as well as reference photos, being used for these purposes. Customers who do not wish their commissioned portrait to be shared must notify The Artist before work commences as this may also result in a higher price as it ultimately hurts The Artist’s ability to advertise business representatively.
The Artist agrees to place a hold on the sharing of artwork if that is necessary for the plans of The Customer (such as birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, usage for an event etc).
The Customer has permission to share the artwork publicly and must give The Artist credit though clear and visible labelling, tagging or verbal acknowledgement. The Customer also has permission to display the artwork for private use, but any reproduction of the work, especially reproductions that will be used for profit or commercial uses, is strictly prohibited unless approved by The Artist in writing. Failing to do so is a crime and may result in legal action.
